Review of The Ramen Girl (2008) by Nadia R — 15 Jun 2009

This movie is about an extremely annoying and ignorant idiot girl wanting to learn cooking ramen. she ruins my affection for ramen.

I am madly in love with japanese culture and movies, but Hollywood always mess them up, turn anything good into worthless crap; Ju-on, The Ring, Dragon Ball, Street Fighter, and now this movie. the original story is interesting, but replacing the student with a frustrated american girl is so wrong.

Brittany murphy is annoyingly persistent to pester the chef, she keeps whining and yelling that she can't understand anything he says. DOH, learn Japanese!! The ramen shop owners are amusing to watch, and he is hilarious. But the other characters kinda faded into the background, along with the almost-ok dialogue, and most importantly.. brittany's whining every 2 minutes.

Hollywood, please please stop ruining the japanese culture. Now everytime I want to eat ramen I see her annoying face. yucks.
