Review of The Ramen Girl (2008) by Kasia M — 23 Sep 2009
It's one of those movies, which make my heart sing. Wonderful story of a girl, who has to travel far away from home to find her place in world and a way to find a way to herself. It's a story of cooking, of learning the pleasures and beauties of the different cultures.
And as well the story of the simplicity hidden in everyday things... Similarly to "Absolutely Irresistable" this movie tells the story of how one can find connection within, while cooking. But cooking is not just a boaring conduct, but the wonderful process of unleashed creativity, which releases all what was deeply hidden away.
.. And just like "Absolutely Irresistable" and "Chocolate" it's a story of a woman who doesn't follow the regular path, but makes her own way against the grin...
