Review of The Ramen Girl (2008) by Lauren M — 23 Jun 2010
This was a lot better than I thought it'd be. By the synopsis Netflix gave me, I thought it was going to be more of a romantic comedy (more like Brittany's previous film, 'Love... and Other Disasters'). It was a journey; a heart-felt, inspiring film, about communicating with something other than our native languages, growing up, over-coming ones fears and removing the obstacles we sometimes place before ourselves, guaranteeing our own failure. ...But they call it spirit... DX.
It was sweet and the apprentice-student relationship was fun to watch develop. Language barriers are funny.
