Review of The Rainmaker (1997) by Diana W — 01 Aug 2009
I didn't want to like this or think it worthy as I really dislike Matt Damon and think he is so over-rated as an actor and person.
Danny DaVito is devine as always...I love Jon Voight and Mickey Rourke can give me cause...to pause. I actually don't remember the remaining cast, as this storyline and the visual portrayal kept my focus where it needed to be, on the story...The stars could have been anybody, a rare feat for a movie. The story is omnipotent and exhaulted here!
This inspiring movie, brought me to tears, something I rarely give up or indulge anymore...
Having worked with the feds & governmental legalease...within insurance contracts, eligibility, billing and payments, I have eye-witness accounts burned into my soul giving me reason to hate our good ol' boy legal and insurance system!...I found this to be acclaiming and hope that people will watch, take to heart and take it to the streets to effect needed necessary change!
Sometimes what a movie should be!
Similar movie with heart, John Travolta's A Civil Action...Watch it too!
Hey all Monkaphiles Monk-o-philes, Monk is in it!
