Review of The Rainmaker (1997) by Dave L — 15 Jun 2012
Certainly one of the better John Grisham book adaptations, "The Rainmaker" features Godfather legend Francis Ford Coppola's script and direction. The story revolves around a David and Goliath type legal situation.
Matt Damon plays Rudy Baylor fresh out of law school and taking on a big health insurance company with a penchant for denying claims. With statements about our current health care situation and courtroom tension, the work is entertaining and thought-provoking.
The ending seems a little more real world then other legal dramas.
