Review of The Railway Man (2013) by Richard C — 16 Jan 2014
Dark and brutal this film touches on a part of history that some people will find distressing to watch. Its scenes of torture are unflinching and emotionally draining to watch. However, the film does show the great power of the human spirit and the great power of that spirit to forgive.
Excellant performances especially from firth, kidman and skarsgard make this a powerful film and also one which whilst uneasy to watch makes compelling viewing.
