Raid 2 never reaches the levels of the original in all but the last 10 minutes. Its these last 10 minutes that are worth the wait though. The sequel is truly a repeat of the original with an overdose of all the things that worked well in the first iteration and maybe thats what spoiled it for me.
The story is a done to death one and we hardly get to see Rama fight. And while the action in the original was probably realistic, here it is un-believable and more in the land of Kill Bill. Still worth a watch though but only if you enjoy the gore.
