Review of The Rage in Placid Lake (2003) by Daniel H — 14 Feb 2008
It seems like we're inundated with indie movies with low budget looks and quirky characters, where the leading man ends up "unexpectedly" falling in love with the childhood female best friend.
This one is as quirky, charming and funny as all the other indies, only more quirky, more charming and more funny. I was completely taken with it, and it's a shame that the same crowd that championed "Juno" didn't do likewise for Placid Lake.
