Review of The Quiller Memorandum (1966) by Roy N — 10 Feb 2008
Bucking the trend found in pretty much every other spy movie of the time... QUILLER MEMORANDUM is an hour and 45 minutes of "gadget-free"... kidnapping, drugging, beating up, killing and all out "spying" the way it used to be.
It might not be as fun to watch as a "Bond" movie.... (for those expecting one)... but the stellar cast of Alec Guiness... Max Von Sydow and George Segal - - (GEORGE SEGAL!?!?!) make every moment extremely watchable.
A real spy movie.
