Review of The Quiet Man (1952) by Beverly D — 25 Jul 2008
This is my favorite movie of all time. I don't even know how many times I've watched this movie. John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara aren't even my favorite actors, In fact I only have one other Maureen O'Hara Movie "Parent Trap".
And we don't have any other John Wayne films. It's beautiful country, the characters are complex and the dialogue at times makes no cense at all, I always laugh at the same jokes I've heard a million times and I always cry at the scene where her brother come to dinner at the end- It's corny and it's predictable and I love every minute of it.
The fight scene is one of the best on film. Do yourself a favor and visit this sweet film.
