Review of The Quiet (2005) by Lu A — 20 Aug 2007

This is quite possibly the most jacked up and disturbing movie I have ever seen. I felt dirty after just watching it, however it has an interesting story to tell, one about a deaf and mute girl who moves in with a family after her dad dies and becomes their confidante.

But what happens when someone in the relationship of trust is not telling the truth? This is the basic premise behind the movie and it delivers on many levels but once again it deals with subjects that are not uplifting, so you might not want to be in a depressing mood when you view this movie.
