Review of The Quiet (2005) by Evan M — 19 Nov 2007
This movie had a fine, if obvious, premise. It has a very deliberate tone, and a style that struggles to be postmodern and neo-gothic at the same time. It's surprisingly restrained in its action, but makes up for it with the miscalculated beats of shock the dialogue too consciously provides...A curiosity.
The best that I can say is that it wasn't boring.
