Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Eddward B — 08 Aug 2008
Pretty much a standard churn of the mill western trying to revive the Spaghetti western, Gene Hackman once again proves he his good with just about any role he gets his hands on as the corrupt Sheriff of a mid west town.
With an all star cast this movie is not too bad as far as westerns go, it does seem to be a little too relient upon the gun fights to drive the story along but it's forgivable.
Director Sam Raimi, deliver the Wham Bam Thank you man ! spectacle with stylish gun play as it's main drive, with a pre stardom Leonado DiCaprio thrown in for good measure.
This is something only for Big Western fans !
