Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Dave F — 02 Oct 2010
There are two reasons I see to watch this. First, if you like spaghetti westerns, this falls loosely in that genre. Its over-the-top, doesn't take itself very seriously, and has plenty of gun play.
In fact, it steals from a number of Leone films. Second, the satirical streak runs deep in this, especially the acting of Hackman and a very young DiCaprio. Don't expect riveting dialog or writing, its just entertainment.
