Review of The Quick and the Dead (1995) by Andrew R — 13 Dec 2010
An enjoyable western that combines a lot of common western archetypes, and does others in new twists. Gene Hackman was great as always, and the supporting cast is extremely enjoyable. What it lacks in story, it makes up for in characters, and action.
My only real complaint is some of the cinematography was subpar. Also explain the physics of Hackmans death. I throughly enjoyed the inclusion of a female western hero, as they seem to be the ones treated the worst in most westerns.
