This movie achieved the impossible for me....it made me feel sorry for rich people. OK, not all rich people, just these people. In a way, they got betrayed by the financiers just like us 99%. They were told to borrow, borrow, borrow and the money would never dry up, did what they were told and reaped the benefits for many years, never once realizing how unsustainable it was.

As their world crumbles around them, they too make the best of their situation. Director Greenfield obviously started out making a totally different movie, and ended up making an interesting allegory for our current times.
