Review of The Queen (2006) by Lucie B — 27 Feb 2009
Great insight into the british royal family. Helen Mirren really deserved the Oscar and I loved Michael Sheen as Tony Blair =D (I 'm looking forward to seeing his newest film Frost/Nixon). There is a few of funny moments, some action and otherwise clever dialogues.
Dashing usage of old shots. Although whole film lasts just 1h 40 min it seemed to be much longer. I can´t decide if it's wrong or not. What I would criticise is the sound. The sound engineer obviously can't work with silence ( and loud sequences on the opposite) and he doesn't use them right ( in my opinion).
