Review of The Queen (2006) by Giffy G — 24 Apr 2009
This movie did a beautiful job dramatizing such a memorable moment in history and making it more complex than I ever realized it could be. The political message of this movie was compelling, inventive, and intriguing--even though it is far too conservative a message for my personal taste.
The brilliance of the writing and acting simultaneously made Queen Elizabeth II a tragic figure and strong heroine: hard to accomplish. A very enjoyable movie.
