Review of The Queen (2006) by Michael P — 06 Jun 2009
I feel a bit detached from the historical significance that is played out in this film, but it gave me a very interesting perspective on the British government (should any of this be remotely acurate).
I thought the acting was very sincere and definitely brings you on an intimate level with this detached family group. After seeing this isolated week in history, I had a desire to have a broader character story based on the Queen's life prior to Dianna's death.
Apparently, this week was a big deal - but I would've liked more backstory having no knowledge of Brittish history. :-/.
