Review of The Queen (2006) by Lindam. — 18 Dec 2006
Helen Mirren gave a powerfully nuanced impression of a living institution and historic personality. Michael Sheen is delightful as the twitchy and adoring new prime minister. It's easier to see how he could have become "Bush's poodle" in starting the Iraq invasion.
I didn't expect the story to be so gripping that I forgot about the time.
