Review of The Queen (2006) by Mauricefreeman — 27 Sep 2006
This a royal Pains.
That's how the British monarchy survived the death of the people's princess, I think that The Queen, which opens the New York Film Festival on Friday and goes into release the next day, is more fun than any movie about the violent death of a 36-year-old woman has a right to be. It's also as exotic an English-language picture as the season is likely to bring.
