Review of The Queen (2006) by Carole T — 05 Feb 2011
Terrible terrible script with some of the worst dialogue since Titanic. Add to this some awful casting choices (Prince Charles and Alastair Campbell to name just 2) and some rubbish scenes about a stag. However, these things don't matter one bit coz this is a gripping and often moving account of a moment in a history that none of us will forget.
Helen Mirren is great but Michael Sheen steals the show for me. His performance as Blair in uncanny and full of personality...it's a shame he didn't get the same recognition as Mirren.
