Review of The Queen (2006) by Ka M — 16 Oct 2011
Some of the hilarious, subtle jokes against the Royal Family in their private moments, aren't that subtle and are a bit too cruel. That aside, captures that family funeral fall out between the Royals and public very well. The dynamic between Blair, spin doctors, government, public, media, the World and the Royals is brilliantly done - really captures the time.
A really good journey back down memory lane. Forgot how popular Blair was and how he could have gone down in British history as a God, if only he'd left office sooner - just shows how power is difficult to give up.
By contrast, the Queen's perspective to Royal duty and dignity will come off better than Blair's reign once the history is analysed through the benefit of hindsight.
All at 15 million quid. Really deserves it's success.
