The acting in this film outshines the film itself. Which means a lot considering this was a good film. It nearly rises to the level of great but falls short. Will Smith gives a performance that will surely get recgonized by Academy voters.
The only thing that dragged this film down were its lighter moments in which everything seems normal. Will Smith's son gives a standout debut as well.
