Review of The Pursuit of Happyness (2006) by Mathlover9000 — 16 Feb 2018
The Pursuit of Happyness is a great film to watch if you ever feel down and need motivation. This film is not only a great film for motivation but a great film to watch in general. The story in this movie was not only good but was inspiring as well.
Christopher Gardener, the protagonist, received are great dose of character development. The challenges and struggles he faced in this film were real. He was a totally relatable character struggling to survive in a harsh world.
Because the story and characters were handled so well in this film, this film was filled with emotion. The were plenty of touching and inspiring moments, a few that even made me cry. Last but not least, this film conveys a powerful message.
This is not to say the film is perfect. The acting could have a lot better in certain scenes, which could have made this film even more dramatic, emotional, and powerful. Also, the first act of the film with Christopher Gardener and his wife was a bit messy and could have been handled better.
Nevertheless, this film was still well-made and worth watching. I give this film an 8/10.
