Review of The Pursuit of Happyness (2006) by Pichi P — 20 Jul 2015
This movie is funny (chasing scenes), sweet and inspirational. Excellent acting performances. Really shows what could happen if you take a wrong turn in life (buying scanners in some kind of pyramid scheme) and get a lot of bad luck afterwards.
A story about resilience that seems (and is; true story) realistic. Chris Gardner is not a crybaby, not overtly dramatic, but just a normal guy who tries his best to get ahead in the world for his son.
Him crying when hitting rock bottom, sleeping at a public restroom with his son was a scene with haunting despair in it. The best movie I have seen in a while.
