Review of The Purifiers (2005) by Tommy M — 10 Jul 2008

Okay so let me just say I'm kind of disappointed... Well more like very disappointed because the trailer looked pretty cool but then it wasnt. This movie is about some Martial Arts Clubs who have created there own city infostructure.

Then Moses who is pretty much like the president even though I guess there is some sort of goverment so it's actually like he's the president of the hood. So anyways they are seperated into differnt parts of the city and when one club comes into another clubs part then it causes problems anyways Moses comes up with the idea to form together so they can take over the whole city instead of the little bit they have.

( Sounds pretty good so far...right?) But then they all form together but the purifers dont because they are not corrupt like the others. (Yay for them) So Moses tells the other clubs to pretty much kill the Purifiers.

Then crap happens blah blah blah and the main dude for the Purifiers ends up coming back to Moses and then they fight and it's all because a dude on the Purifiers set all of them up and then they go agaist everything they stood for blah blah blah lame.

SO besides from the story line sucking it only gets worse. With horrible acting, stupid special effects that dont even make sense, and then the kung fu is downright horrible if you wanna get a picture in your head then picture you and your best friend who have come up with a fight scene and then you act it out only once and record it with really far away punches and lame kung fu since you dont actually know any and then you've pretty much got this movie.

Then there was so much slow motion when if it was fast it would have looked a lot better. However 1 person was a good actor and that was Kevin Mckidd aka Moses who is or was a star in Journey Man. Then the other who did okay was Gordon Alexander.

And I forgot there was one good fight scene between Moses and The main dude in The Purifiers. So all in all this movie doesnt even deserve two and half stars so im gunna change it to two.
