Review of The Purge: Election Year (2016) by Kyle K — 01 Jul 2016

In the third installment of The Purge franchise directed by James DeMonaco, we get to see the mad and macabre of the annual purge were once every year for 12 hours all crime is legal. The film was a lot of fun but I still think the 2nd one was better and this film could have been better if a few things were taken out. The touch of them adding the election year and debate in the film made it even more tense especially since one of the candidates in the film wants to stop the purge. Absolute best thing about the film is Frank Grillo, he is still badass just as he was in the 2nd film and did an amazing job. Give election year a one time watch if you haven't seen it. This film is not for everybody.

I give The Purge Election Year 3 stars.
