Review of The Purge: Election Year (2016) by Noah D — 15 Jul 2016
In a rare turn of events, The Purge: Election Year follows the same route as its predecessor in that the film improves over the previous film yet again! The first Purge was a disappointingly stupid home invasion thriller where as The Purge: Anarchy fully embraced the concept and delivered a solidly entertaining action thriller and so is the case here.
Frank Grillo returns giving yet another great badass performance and Director James DeMonaco crafts not only a timely and intriguing plot, but a thoroughly enjoyable thriller that never drags or loses steam throughout its 105 minute run time.
The Purge: Election Year is easily the most violent piece of liberal propaganda out there and I loved watching every minute of it! 4 out of 5 Stars!
