Review of The Purge: Election Year (2016) by Dylan N — 25 Jul 2016

This movie wasn't terrible... I mean, it did manage to conclude the trilogy (or at least act as a sequel to the last movie) and tie up he overarching political storyline. Aside from the one returning character and the lead female role; all the characters just seemed a little ridiculous.

I found myself questioning the motives of almost every character and didn't enjoy any of the silly coincidences and a lot of it just came off as lame to me. The movie is certainly a festival of violence - so it may appeal to some, but not me.

I understand that was kind of the whole point of the movie... I'm just not into it.
