Review of The Purge: Election Year (2016) by Joe G — 15 Jul 2016
I would have enjoyed this movie, a lot more, if the main character (Senator "Charlie" Roan) wasn't so annoying. Imagine having to protect somebody, who makes it just as difficult as it could possibly be - who can't keep her mouth closed, and is constantly telling everybody what to do, even though she's the one getting everybody killed.
I just wanted to tell her to SHUT UP. Otherwise, the movie was tense and had some good action scenes. A little bloody, but not too bad - many of the fatalities, richly deserved it, which was satisfying.
If you've seen the other Purge flicks, you know what to expect.
