Review of The Purge: Election Year (2016) by Will L — 02 Jul 2016
'The Purge: Election Year' lacks any semblance of subtlety, be it in its political commentary or its balls-to-the-wall action, but it is a hell of a lot of nasty fun. The gruesome violence and total anarchy, much like part 2 before it, harken back to late 70's exploitation films.
It definitely isn't for everyone, but for what it is, this film is an insane, splattery good time.
