Review of The Purge: Election Year (2016) by Andrei G — 07 Aug 2016
Why do they keep making these garbage films? Same crap different film. The Purge Election year starts off a slight promising by showing the Senators family being tortured on Purge night about 15 years ago (or something like that) for about 3 minutes then it just jumps to current time without seeing anyone get killed.
It was so pointless to have that in there, if you're not going to show anything why bother? The acting in this movie is just about as bad as porn acting. Besides Frank Grillo, Elisabeth Mitchell, and Mykelti Williams.
I found my self laughing so much during this film that I couldn't take it seriously at all. They're just going to keep milking this franchise because we the people going and seeing it. This is just blumhouse once again putting in 5% of work milking out terrible movie after terrible movie and still getting more money back than they spent on it.
Either way this movie is just trash and I would just avoid all of them. What a great idea, too bad it's been ruined thanks to lazy writers and directors.
