Review of The Purge: Anarchy (2014) by Sam W — 30 Oct 2014
Focusing on the poorer participants, this sequel fails to create any suspense or true horror and the sinister threat is replaced with additional gore and violence as it ups the scale of the event. The anarchy element is introduced but mostly ignored in favour of following a group of cliché characters trying to survive and when it is mentioned, it is woefully underdeveloped.
Boring and forgettable.
