Review of The Purge: Anarchy (2014) by Ian G — 23 Nov 2014

The quick follow up to the surprise box office hit the Purge flips the idea with Anarchy and takes it out of the house of the wealthy and trappings of a home invasion film and into the streets of Los Angeles following a couple of the regular 99% as they get lost admist the commotion of the annual right of passage.

Some of the ideas are interesting, with a rabble group of protesters rising up against the purge movement trying to bring awareness that it is just a way of weeding out the week of the population, but it seems to lack the overall punch to bring those elements home well.

Nothing new or freaky.
