Review of The Purge: Anarchy (2014) by Joe W — 13 Jan 2015

Interesting "Warriors" like movie with some fascinating ideas. There is lots of tension and for 2/3 of the movie even if the idea is rather ludicrous the actors, director and script stay grounded in its own mythology.

Then the last 1/3 pops up and though the movie doesn't go off its rails, the politics of the film get a job little over the top ham fisted that detracts from the film.
