Review of The Purge: Anarchy (2014) by Matt B — 06 Apr 2015
A HUGE improvement from the first movie. HUGE! The first Purge was a shallow, lifeless home invasion thriller. This one, as brutal as it is, really delves into the human condition and why we turn to violence.
It's not brilliant, of course, but it is creepier, darker, and a lot more entertaining. Frank Grillo makes for a badass hero.
