Review of The Purge (2013) by James K — 15 Jul 2014
The Purge is a really cool concept for a movie that doesn't quite live up to most people's expectations. It was marketed as a horror movie which is fine, but I would almost say that it is more of an action suspense movie than a straight up horror movie.
Overall I enjoyed it even if it is heavily influenced by John Carpenter's great movie Assault on Precinct 13.
