Right... okay... Stupid kid, check. Overused laughing psychotic suave man, check. Thoughtful direction... no? But it grabbed you right? Or, did it fizzle? Oh man, it fizzled bad. 40 minutes in and I surprisingly enjoyed what I got, but I expected more than amateur hour beyond that with Ethan Hawke.
For some reason. I should have known better... I may need to purge myself as this write-up is turning me into an asshole. Shall I end with an inevitable joke about purging this film? 'Eh'... its central idea carried it.
