Review of The Punisher (2004) by Andy L — 10 Aug 2010
The Punisher is a average film with some good acting and big action scenes, it is another Marvel comic adaption that will probably be forgotten but still it is a good popcorn movie nonetheless.
It is a mixed bag when it comes to the acting, it is saved by Thomas Jane and Travolta who both bring intensity and maturity. Others are just completely hopeless such as Ben Foster and John Pinette who play the comic relief or dysfunctional friends of the Punisher, but it comes off completely cheesy and bad.
Take this film for what it is, just a standard action film, which I didn't mind. Good average film.
