Review of The Punisher (2004) by Bruce B — 23 Jul 2012
The Punisher was a movie that was underated to a big anti-hero as The Punisher. Thomas Jane was Frank Castle and a quite good at it. He is at a family reunion when people come and shoot up the place and the gunshop man and Frank have to stop them.
As he makes his way to his wife and kid who he was insanely in love with, were ran over. He tries to stop them but they shoot him, beat him up, blew up the dock he was on, and left him for dead. He comes back revived somehow takes a lot of guns and builds hideout in a persons home.
He plans to figure out the motives of the people who shot down his family and him. John Travolta plays the villian of the movie who is responsible for the killing of castles parents and he does it well.
He gets suspensions when his wife and best friend start spending a lot of time together and ends up killing them both. That shows how crazy he really is because he was calm before in the movie. They send some people to kill Frank after they figured out he lived and then Frank becomes the Punisher and sets out to punish the ones who deserve it.
Great movie.
