Review of The Punisher (2004) by Francis John V — 26 Aug 2012
Mislabeled The Punisher, this film is really about Frank Castle's unfortunate loss of his family and subsequent revenge, which in the process turns him into the Punisher as he is seen a the end. But throughout the movie he is Castle, vigilante-in-training and it's done very well.
Great acting by the tough-as-nails Tom Jane and a good performance by John Travolta, though at times he seems kind of unsure about the film. I liked it and think it leads very well right into a sequel.
..if they ever make one?
