Review of The Punisher (2004) by Jared A — 07 Jul 2013
Great stupid fun, Punisher is worth a look. While it's very generic, loud, and moronic, it's surprisingly fairly enjoyable. The story hilariously tried to have emotion and worked at the beginning, but as the film progresses, it easily falls apart. The cast is full of talent, but everyone either didn't care or didn't know what to do. Hensliegh's writing and direction is very generic and at times pretty bad, but is bad enough to make it good. That's what Punisher is for the most part, so bad it's good; it's not perfect and it's not horrible, it's a dumb, fun, and funny way to kill two hours.
If you want a violent so bad it's good film, Punisher most likely will satisfy that need.
