Review of The Punisher (2004) by Alexander R — 06 Apr 2014
"In certain extreme situations the law is inadequate." The Punisher is the embodiment of the true vigilante, and the film does a good job at capturing the darkness and moral ambiguity of the character.
Thomas Jane completely immerses himself in the role of Frank Castle, and delivers an exceptional performance. Additionally, John Travolta provides a compelling, suave villain worthy of punishment. Marvel has delivered yet another well-crafted, engaging film that successfully transfers a rich comic character to the silver screen.
The Punisher is an intense, gripping film that does justice to its comic origin.
