Review of The Punisher (2004) by Shane D — 11 Apr 2015
Thomas Jane as Frank Castle is actually pretty decent casting BUT this Marvel effort suffers greatly from being way too cheesy (Travolta is partly to blame). The group of misfit flatmates storyline also sucks any grit from proceedings as does Rebecca Romijn's presence.
Otherwise, it had the makings of a decent effort but still fell way short. There might be life left in the franchise, but they've failed several times now.
