Review of The Pumpkin Eater (1964) by Tom M — 06 Aug 2008
I thought this was a fascinating picture of.
England not quite out of its post-war austerity days.
Harrods in the 60's.
Confirmation of the idea that doctors really did talk to husbands about their wives without their wife present.
Interesting clothes, hairstyles, doo-dads in the background.
The story was interesting, kind of horrifying from my perspective as a new age girl. I am pretty much a fan of any dopey movie. I am not sure this really qualifies as dopey, but if you like a good dopey movie, it's worth your time if you see it come round.
