Review of The Proud Ones (1956) by Dave J — 22 May 2010
High quality compact western with good production values and an excellent cast. Robert Ryan, a tremendous actor, is fine as a man on the right side of the law here. For someone who could play venality like few others he was equally adapt at portraying men of conscience due to an inner core of integrity.
The rest of the cast is full of familiar faces doing good work although Virginia Mayio is wasted again.
