Review of The Proposition (2005) by Arnaldo C — 30 Aug 2008
This is not your typical Western, starting out with the setting... It's set in Australia. The plot: A lawman has captured two brothers for a crime which I won't spoil here. The proposition in question: The elder brother can spare his younger brother from hanging if he goes out and kills the oldest brother.
He chooses to do it. But almost as soon as he leaves, the plan starts to unravel. The acting is great in this movie. John Hurt has a couple scenes in this movie which are just electric. Ray Winstone is also very good.
I say see it.
