Review of The Proposition (2005) by Darryl J — 11 Sep 2008
I forgot how perfect this was. John Hillcoat has established himself fully with this film. He was a great choice for The Road. The cinematography was SERIOUSLY stunning in nearly every shot. I really forgot how beautiful this film was.
I also forgot how savage it was. It's violent but I never once thought it was violent just for the sake to be violent. This is how it was back them for them and the filmmakers never shied away from that.
All the acting is wonderful and the score is subtle yet one of the best I've heard in a long time.
