Review of The Proposition (2005) by Justin S — 27 Aug 2010
A good ol' neo-Western. Beautifully shot most of the time... a decent variety of characters amidst a hostile environment... and an extremely effective use of music. This also has to be one of the darkest films I have ever seen. Pretty bloody as Westerns go.
Any Western that is at least "decent" has good character conflicts. There are some interesting ones here.
If one takes this as a recommendation to see it, take it with a pile of salt.
